The 33rd Annual Palolo Chinese Home Dynasty Invitational Golf Tournament will be in full swing on Friday, May 9, 2025, at the Ala Wai Municipal Golf Course.
Since 1896, Palolo Chinese Home has provided better care for better lives to Hawai‘i’s seniors and their families. The annual golf tournament is one of the nonprofit’s most vibrant and vital fundraisers to help with the ever-growing cost of care and has continued to flourish with the support and skill of the Dynasty Invitational Golf Tournament Chairpersons throughout the years. Past Honorary Chairs have included prominent figures in local industry and philanthropy, and the 2025 tournament will continue that distinguished legacy.
All proceeds from the tournament go directly towards supporting the Home’s operational costs, educational training, and care programs.

The PCH Dynasty Invitational Golf Tournament is attributed to dynamic duo Carolyn Y. Kwon (PCH Administrator) and Gordon S.K. Au (PCH’s insurance agent and youngest Director). Aiming to expand fundraising efforts beyond the “Pride of Palolo” craft fair that typically garnered a few hundred dollars, Carolyn sought out the advice of Gordon, who simply replied, “Get me a golf course, and I will get together a tournament for you.” In a matter of three days, Carolyn did just that. On April 25, 1991, the inaugural PCH Dynasty Invitational was held. The event grossed $32,600 with $17,900 netted to the Home, and as they say, the rest is history.
